Pod Garbage Collector

실패한 파드의 경우, API 오브젝트는 사람이나 컨트롤러 프로세스가 명시적으로 파드를 제거할 때까지 클러스터의 API에 남아 있다. 이를 자동으로 해결해주는 것이 Pod Garbage Collector 라고 한다. 아래와 같이 이는 kube-controller-manager pod 에 그 수를 지정할 수 있는 옵션이다. 기본값은 12500 과 같다.

root@k8s-master:~# k exec -it kube-controller-manager-k8s-master -- kube-controller-manager --help | grep -i terminated
      --terminated-pod-gc-threshold int32   Number of terminated pods that can exist before the terminated pod garbage collector starts deleting terminated pods. If <= 0, the terminated pod garbage collector is disabled. (default 12500)
